Introduction
At DroidPass, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our password management application. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.
Information We Collect
Personal Data
When using DroidPass, we may collect the following information:
- Email address (for account creation and communication)
- Encrypted password data (stored locally on your device)
- Device information (for security and functionality)
- Usage analytics (to improve our service)
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for various purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service
- To notify you about changes to our Service
- To provide customer support
- To detect, prevent and address technical issues
- To improve our application's functionality and user experience
Data Security
DroidPass implements state-of-the-art security measures to protect your data:
- AES-256 encryption for all stored passwords
- Zero-knowledge architecture - we cannot access your encrypted data
- Local storage of sensitive information on your device
- Secure data synchronization between devices
- Regular security audits and updates
Analytics and Advertising
DroidPass uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. For this purpose the app collects:
- Device or other identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID and an app-instance identifier)
- App interaction events (for example: app opened, a subscription trial started, an import completed)
- In-app purchase transaction data (product and order information reported by Google Play)
What analytics can never see: the contents of your vault. Your passwords, logins, 2FA secrets, cards, notes, and all other records are encrypted on your device with AES-256 before they are stored or synced. Analytics events contain no vault data.
Analytics data is processed by Google as a service provider and is not sold or shared with third parties for their own use. You can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID at any time under Settings > Privacy > Ads on your device.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers.
Your Data Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt-out of marketing communications
To exercise your right to data deletion, please visit our Account Deletion page or delete your account directly from the DroidPass app settings.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
