Leaving 1Password? Your passwords are yours, and getting them into DroidPass takes a few minutes. There are two routes: a direct transfer that never writes a file, and a CSV export that works on any device. This is how to do both, and what to watch for.

Route 1: direct transfer, no file at all

On iOS 26 or later, DroidPass can take your logins straight from another password manager — provided that app supports credential transfer too. open the app you are leaving and choose its export or transfer option, then pick DroidPass as the destination — on iPhone and iPad only the source app can start a transfer. DroidPass opens by itself and nothing is ever written to disk in plain text. On Android it is reversed: open Settings → Transfer from another app in DroidPass and pick your old manager from the list. The full walkthrough is in how instant transfer works.

If 1Password is not offered, or your iPhone is on an earlier version, use the CSV route below.

Route 2: export a CSV from 1Password

The export lives in the 1Password desktop app, under File → Export (the web and mobile apps do not offer it). Menus move between versions, so if it is not exactly there, search 1Password's settings for "export".

You need the desktop app — this is the step that catches most people, because the export simply is not there on the phone. Attachments and Watchtower history do not travel with a CSV either; only the fields themselves.

Import the file into DroidPass

  1. Move the CSV to the phone or device running DroidPass — AirDrop, iCloud Drive or Files all work.
  2. In DroidPass, open Settings → Import Passwords → Other / CSV.
  3. Tap Select CSV file and choose the export.
  4. DroidPass reads it, shows you how many entries it found, and imports them encrypted with your Master PIN.

Delete the export file — this part matters

A password-manager CSV is every secret you own in plain text, usually including your 2FA seeds. Delete it from your Downloads folder and empty the trash as soon as the import finishes. If you emailed or AirDropped it to yourself, delete that copy too. This is the single most important step on the page and the one most often skipped.

What does not come across

CSV carries fields, not everything. Attachments, file storage, folder hierarchies and sharing settings stay behind in 1Password. Check a handful of your most important logins after importing, and keep 1Password installed until you are satisfied nothing is missing.

After the move

Turn DroidPass on as your autofill provider (Settings → General → AutoFill & Passwords) so logins fill in other apps and browsers, and consider adding your 2FA codes so they sit next to the passwords they protect. If any of your accounts offer passkeys, this is a good moment to switch those over too.
