Add a password
Most logins arrive by transfer or autofill, but you can always add one yourself.
Why this matters
Typing a password into a login screen is the moment it can be seen, mistyped or reused. Saving it once means the app fills it everywhere after that.
Steps
- Open DroidPass and unlock with Face ID, your fingerprint or your Master PIN.
- Tap the + button and choose Password.
- Enter the site or app name, your username or email, and the password.
- Tap the cube icon beside the password field if you want a strong one made for you.
- Tap Save.
What happens next
The login appears in your vault and syncs. Once autofill is on, it is offered the next time you open that site.
If it does not work
- Password is required
- Title is required
- At six entries the free plan stops you adding another and offers Pro.
Good to know
- A password entry needs both a name and a password. Everything else is optional.
- The free plan holds six entries. After that, adding another asks you to upgrade.
- A login brought in by a transfer does not count against the free limit, but the next one you type does.
- You can attach a 2FA code to the same entry β see Add a 2FA code.
