Save a new login

Autofill works in both directions. It fills what you have, and offers to save what you have just typed.

Why this matters

A login you never got round to saving is the one you will reset by email in six months. Saving at the moment you create it costs nothing.

Steps

  1. Sign up or sign in on a site while autofill is on.
  2. When DroidPass offers to save the login, accept it.
  3. Open your vault later to add a 2FA code or notes to it.

What happens next

Open the entry later to add a 2FA code, notes, or its own icon.

If it does not work

  • Open DroidPass to add this login now, or upgrade to Pro for unlimited entries.
  • Saved logins are on this device but could not be read. Tap to send them again.

Good to know

  • On Android this is the autofill_saved path and it works in apps as well as browsers.
  • On iPhone, saving is offered by the AutoFill sheet after you submit the form.
  • A login saved this way counts towards the six-entry free limit.
