Fill a password

With autofill switched on, you do not open DroidPass to sign in to things. The logins come to you.

Why this matters

Turn on DroidPass autofill and your saved logins appear on the keyboard whenever an app or website asks for one.

This is the point of the whole thing. Everything else in the app exists so that this moment takes one tap instead of a trip to another app and back.

Steps

  1. Tap a username or password field in any app or website.
  2. Tap "Autofill with DroidPass" on the keyboard.
  3. Unlock with your fingerprint or Master PIN. The first time in an app, pick the login; after that it fills directly.

If it does not work

  • Open DroidPass and unlock your vault once. AutoFill has nothing to offer while the vault is locked.
  • Suggestions above the keyboard match on the website saved with a login. Add the site to that login and it will be offered here.
  • A few apps block autofill or close as soon as another screen appears; nothing can fill those.
  • Couldn't load your vault. Open DroidPass once, then try again.

Good to know

  • On iPhone, Face ID is asked for inside the sheet each time.
